The New Orleans Opera Association is performing its 66th season. In January, the world’s greatest tenor returns to New Orleans to celebrate the re-opening of the Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts with a gala concert and dedication of The Placido Domingo Stage.

Don Giovanni | Nov. 14 at 8 p.m., Nov. 16 at 2:30 p.m., McAlister Auditorium, Tulane University, New Orleans. Mozart’s masterpiece premiered in 1787 and reigns as one of the most frequently performed operas in the world. Matthew Lata directs this more modern look at the theatrical gem; Garrett Keast conducts; featuring baritone Lucas Meachem, soprano Juliana DiGiacomo, soprano Yali-Marie William, tenor Chad Johnson, bass Daniel Mobbs, soprano Maureen McKay and baritone Kenneth Weber.
